Underage “Compliance Checks” conducted by St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office

On October 22, 2015,  the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Alcohol Enforcement Coordinator, Cpl. James Stone conducted underage “Compliance Checks” at various business establishments possessing liquor licenses throughout St. Mary’s County. During these compliance checks, underage informants entered random establishments and attempted to purchase alcohol beverages. The following six establishments failed the compliance checks. Also, the retail locations will be cited for sale of liquor to minors and will face possible fines and/or suspension of their liquor licenses.

List of violations:

1.      Abell’s Tavern – 20281 Piney Point Rd, Callaway MD

2.      Chiefs Bar – 44584 Tall Timbers Rd, Tall Timbers MD

3.      Russells Store – 44894 Medleys Neck Road, Leonardtown, MD

4.      Hermanville C-Store – 21141 Three Notch Rd, Lexington Park MD

5.      Stop N Shop – 21036 Great Mills Road, Great Mills, MD

6.      Sign of the Whale – 21899 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD

2.      Piney Point Market, Piney Point, MD

3.      St. Marys Fine Wine and Spirits, Great Mills, MD

4.      Canopy Liquor, Lexington Park, MD

5.      County Liquors, Lexington Park, MD

6.      Niko’s Pizza, Lexington Park, MD

7.      International Beverages, Great Mills, MD

8.      Pegg Road Shell, Lexington Park, MD

9.      Blue Wind, California, MD

10.  Jug Heads, California, MD

11.  California Wine and Spirits, California, MD
