Arrests September 29 - October 15

10-5-2015 – Possession – Suspect Billy Dean Garner, age 25, of Leonardtown, was placed under arrest by Deputy L. Johnson for a bench warrant. A routine search of Garner revealed paraphernalia consistent with Fentanyl. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Possession – Not Marijuana and Driving without a License. CASE# 58645-15

10-6-2015 – Possession – The Emergency Communications Center broadcasted a lookout for a vehicle bearing Delaware registration operating in a reckless manner. Deputy G. Mushchette observed a vehicle matching the description traveling Southbound on Three Notch Road. Deputy Muschette confirmed the registration tags on the vehicle were stolen. The suspect, Lennard Ray Frayer, age 54, of Cheltenham, was placed under arrest. During a routine search, Deputy Muschette located a small bottle of liquid on Frayer. A field test revealed the bottle contained suspected Phencyclidine (PCP). Frayer was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with CDS Possession – Not Marijuana and Theft Less than $1000.00. CASE# 58729-15

10-8-2015 – Theft – Deputy D. Smith responded to the Best Buy Store in California, for a reported theft. The suspect, Vernon Earl Grinder, age 47, of Lusby, was observed attempting to steal merchandise by placing it in his jacket and leaving the store without paying. Grinder was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft Less Than $1000.00. CASE# 59188-15

10-8-2015 – Possession – Corporal Elizabeth O’ Connor responded to the 24000 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, for a reported suspicious vehicle. Corporal O’Connor located a vehicle parked in a driveway blocking several other vehicles. Further investigation revealed, Heather Ann Thompson, age 22, of Nanajemoy as the driver of the vehicle, who appeared to be under the influence. A field sobriety test was performed on Thompson and she was  placed under arrest. A search of her vehicle revealed paraphernalia consistent with Xanax and Subutex. Thompson was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Two Counts of Attempting to Drive A Vehicle while Impaired, CDS Possession – Paraphernalia and Two Counts of CDS Possession – Not Marijuana. CASE# 59113-15

10-11-2015 – Domestic Assault – Deputy A. Logue responded to the 21000 block of Liberty Street in Lexington Park, for the report of a domestic assault in progress. The victim alleged the suspect, Demetrius Lakies Butler, age 26, of Lexington Park, pushed the victim to the ground and held her down during an argument. The victim also alleged Butler struck the victim in the face causing a laceration on the victim’s eye. Butler was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault. CASE# 59785-15

10-10-2015 – Theft – Deputy G. Mushchhette responded to the Wal-Mart in California, for a reported theft. The suspect, Dilante Bobby Lee Haley, age 19 of Hughesville, attempted to return merchandise he did not purchase. Haley was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft under $1000.00. CASE# 59640-15

10-12-2015 – Disorderly Conduct  – Deputy D. Smith responded to the 46000 block of Flower Drive in Lexington Park, for the report of a disturbance. Deputy Smith observed the suspect, Jay Vockay Williams, age 37, of Lexington Park, screaming in the middle of the street. Williams appeared to be extremely intoxicated and was having trouble speaking.  Williams disregarded several requests from officers to stop screaming and return home. Williams became aggressive with officers and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Disorderly Conduct. CASE# 59981

10-13-2015 – Assault –  Deputy J. Krum responded to the Sheetz in California, for a reported domestic assault in progress. The victim alleged the suspect, Travis Devon Floyd, age 27, of Great Mills, punched the victim several times during an argument. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Floyd was placed under arrest and a search revealed a tablet consistent with ecstasy. Floyd was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. During initial processing, officers discovered the name Floyd provided was false. His actual identity was determined through fingerprint identification and deputies discovered Floyd had an active warrant for his arrest. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault, CDS Possession – Not Marijuana, Malicious Destruction of Property, False Statement to Police Officer and Obstructing & Hindering. CASE# 60030-15

10-14-2015 – Assault – Deputy K. Flelage responded to the 39000 block of Birch Manor Drive in Mechanicsville for the report of property destruction. The victim alleged the suspect, Christopher Nicholas Bologna, age 30 of Mechanicsville, hit the victim in the head with a bat. Bologna was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Assault. CASE# 60407-15
