Arrests 10/15 to 10/21

10-19-2015 – Assault – Deputy R. Steinbach responded to the 22000 block of Grand Harvest Lane in Lexington Park, to assist another deputy on a reported domestic assault. As the investigation concluded, the suspect, Albert James Belford, age 26 of Lexington Park, physically charged another victim with his chest and had to be physically removed from the residence. Belford was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Obstructing and Hindering an Investigation. CASE# 61262-15

10-16-2015 – Assault – Deputy K. Molitor responded to the 21000 block of Missouri Street in Lexington Park, for a reported assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Damon Antione Ford, age 36, of Lexington Park, held a knife to the left side of the victim’s throat twice. After fleeing on foot, Ford was located and placed under arrest. He was charged with 1st Degree Assault. CASE# 60892-15

10-14-2015 – Disorderly Conduct – Corporal D. Corcoran responded to the 21000 block of Liberty Street in Lexington Park, for a fight involving several subjects. Corporal D. Corcoran observed two females who appeared to be running to a vehicle when he arrived on the scene. As the deputy approached the vehicle, the suspect Nathan Thomas Chase, age 23, of No Fixed Address, began to yell and approach the deputy. After several requests to calm down, Chase was placed under arrest with assistance from Deputy D. Smith, for Hindering an Investigation and Disorderly Conduct. During his arrest, Demetrius Lackies Butler, age 27 of Lexington Park, began yelling at the deputies because they were arresting Chase. During the same time, Chase became very aggressive and intentionally resisted arrest, while Butler continued to approach officers in an aggressive manner. Butler refused to leave the scene and go back to his apartments, after being asked several times by officers. Additional officers were called to the scene and placed Butler under arrest at which time suspect, Jared Vaughan Hardy, age 23, of No Fixed Address, inserted himself between officers and Butler in an attempt to hinder his arrest. All suspects were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Jared Vaughan Hardy was charged with Hindering an Arrest and Resisting Arrest. Demetrius Lackies Butler was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Hindering and Obstructing and Resisting Arrest.  Nathan Thomas Chase was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Hindering and Obstructing and Resisting Arrest. 10-16-2015 – Burglary – Deputy H. Smith responded to the 45000 block of Rose Lane in Great Mills, for a report of a burglary in progress. A victim alleged the suspect, Patrick Sinclair Doss, age 36, of Chesapeake Beach, attempted to enter a residence by breaking the window. A different victim claimed Doss stole property from a motor vehicle parked outside of the victim’s residence. Further investigation revealed, Doss was in violation of a protective order. Doss was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, Rogue and Vagabond, Theft Less than $1000 and Violation of a Protective Order. CASE# 60933-15

10-15-2015 – Theft – Deputy A. Cole responded to the Family Dollar in Lexington Park, for a reported theft. After watching surveillance from the Family Dollar store, a lookout was placed for a suspect who left the store without paying for merchandise. Sgt. Safford of the Lexington Park COPs Unit, observed a suspect matching the description from the Family Dollar theft in front of the library. The suspect, Keon Williams Sanders, age 27 of Lexington Park, was placed under arrest. Further investigation revealed, Sanders had three active arrest warrants through St. Mary’s County. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Theft Less Than $100  and was served his three active arrest warrants. CASE# 60609-15

10-19-15 – Theft – Deputy First Class J. Kirkner responded to the 45000 block of Kmart in California, for the report of theft. The suspect, Kevin Jerome Graham, age 31 of, Lexington Park, an employee of the store was observed stealing cash from the register. Graham was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Two Counts of Theft under $100, Theft Under $1000 and Theft Scheme Under $1000. CASE# 61397-15

10-20-2015 – Assault – Deputy J. Kerns responded to the Charles Regional Medication Center where a victim alleged the suspect, John Devonte Gale, age 21, of Ridge, placed a hot knife on the victim three different times. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Gale was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with First Degree Assault and Second Degree Assault. CASE# 61610-15

10-19-2015  – Theft – Deputy J. Smith responded to the 45000 block of Miramar Way (Wal-Mart) in California, for a reported theft. The suspect, Katie Jo Hamilton, age 21 of Lexington Park, attempted to exit the store without paying for merchandise.  Hamilton was arrested and charged with Theft Less Than $1000. CASE# 61359-15

10-21-2015 – Domestic Assault – Deputy R. Steinbach responded to the 46000 block of Crowder Lane in St. George’s Island. The victim alleged the suspect, Richard Gorman Swann, Jr, age 40, of St. George’s Island bit the victim’s hand during an argument. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Swann was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Second Degree Assault. CASE# 61816-15
