Theft Suspects


The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of the persons pictured.  On April 18, 2018, the suspects left the Target store located on First Colony Way, in California, with a Bissell Vacuum that was not purchased. The suspects left the area in a blue SUV driven by the female suspect.

On View Arrests/Warrants

Drug Arrest-  On March 9, 2018, Cpl. Beishline responded to the 46000 block of Creeping Primrose Lane, in Lexington Park, for a report of an individual passed out in a vehicle.  Cpl. Beishline located the vehicle, and observed the operator to be passed out with her foot on the brake. The driver was identified to be Jeanna Marie Mackey, age 26, of Prince Frederick.  As Mackey exited the vehicle, a hypodermic needle was located, as well as a spoon and burnt granules suspected to be heroin.  Mackey was placed under arrest and charged with CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possess Paraphernalia.  CASE# 12698-18 (No Photograph Available)


Theft- On March 10, 2018, Dep. Sidorowicz responded to a reported theft at Target located in the 41000 block of First Colony Way, in California.  Investigation determined Allison Renee Beyer, age 31, of North Beach, attempted to leave the business with merchandise she had not purchased.  Beyer was charged with Theft via a Criminal Citation. CASE# 12795-18

Drug Arrest-  On March 10, 2018, DFC. J. Smith was investigating a suspicious vehicle in the area of Gibson Lane/Queen Tree Road, in Mechanicsville.  Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, Conrad Leland Young, age 50, of Loveville.  A straw with white residue was located in the vehicle as well as additional baggies containing suspected cocaine.  Young was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.  CASE# 13005-18

Theft-  On March 10, 2018, Dep. Forbes responded to the Kohl's Store located in the 46000 block of Lexington Village Way, in Lexington Park, for the reported theft.  Investigation determined Kristin Lacey Dziergowski, age 29, of Leonardtown, attempted to leave the business with merchandise she had not purchased.  Dziergowski was charged with Theft via a Criminal Citation.  CASE# 13002-18

Drug Arrest-  On March 11, 2018, DFC. J. Smith responded to the 30000 block of Three Notch Road, in Charlotte Hall, for a report of a vehicle operator in need of assistance.  The vehicle was located running, and the operator appeared to be sleeping.  DFC. Smith was able to wake the operator who was identified to be Jason Anthony Hoover, age 29, of Charlotte Hall. Further investigation determined Hoover was in possession of three plastic bottles containing various medications.  Hoover was arrested and charged with Driving Vehicle While Impaired  by a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Attempting to Drive Vehicle While So Far Impaired by Drugs Cannot Drive Safely, and Possession of Weapon in a place of confinement; Hoover had a knife concealed on his person. Assault-  On March 11, 2018, Dep. Chase responded to the 21000 block of Exquisite Court in Lexington Park, for a reported assault.  Investigation determined Robert Sylvester Hill, age 54, of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by striking the victim in the face causing injury.  Hill was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 13143-18

Assault-  On March 12, 2018, Cpl. Nelson responded to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, for the reported assault.  Investigation determined Phillip Marcellis Carothers, age 19, of Great Mills, assaulted the victim by grabbing the victim and striking the victim in the face with a speaker.  Carothers was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 13254-18 (No Photograph Available)

Burglary-Thompson's Seafood


The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a burglary that occurred between the timeframe of April 23, 2018 to April 24, 2018, at 8 a.m., when the burglary was discovered. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into an outside freezer at Thompson’s Seafood, located on Three Notch Road, in Mechanicsville, and stole over one hundred pounds of snow crab legs, and fish fillets. Pictured below are boxes utilized by Thompson’s Seafood; it is possible the stolen seafood could be in boxes similar to those in the picture.

Awards Presented to Employees

April is National County Government Month; as part of St. Mary's County's observance, commissioners presented this year's People's Choice Awards. County employees voted on fellow workers who consistently exhibit professionalism and service to the public and fellow employees. Also recognized during the meeting were county employees with ten years of service or more.  Winners of the People's Choice Awards  from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office included Michael Klotz (Not pictured), Ret. Family Dollar Theft


The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured.  On April 22, 2018, at the Family Dollar Store, located on Great Mills Road, in Lexington Park, the pictured suspect grabbed money from an open register, as well as a pack of cigarettes.  The suspect then fled the store.  The suspect is described as a black male, with acne scars and possible dark spots or tattoos on his face.  The suspect was wearing a black hat, gray hooded sweatshirt, and torn jeans.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured.  On March 30, 2018, at the Walmart store located on Miramar Way, in California, the pictured suspect picked up $300 which fell from the victim’s purse.  The suspect then left the store with the money.

Burglary Suspect-ID Needed


The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured.  On January 22, 2018, the pictured suspect damaged a hunting trailer while attempting to break into the trailer, and also damaged a trail camera, in the 21000 block of Olen Mattingly Road, in Avenue.

Narcotics Arrests

 

Detectives with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Division, identified Reginald “Ricky” A. Price, age 52 of Clements, as a distributor of controlled dangerous substances, (CDS). Search and seizure warrants were obtained for his residence and a neighboring residence on Horseshoe Road in Clements, MD. The search warrants were executed on April 19, 2018, with the assistance of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Vice/Narcotics Support Team Deputies, and the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team. 

 
As a result of the search warrants, a large quantity of suspected heroin, (approximate street value of $8,500), suspected cocaine, (approximate street value of $29,180), suspected crack cocaine, (approximate street value of $2,160), suspected Suboxone, (approximate street value of $40), suspected marijuana, (approximate street value of $5,275), US currency, and other items indicative of drug distribution were recovered. Fifteen (15) dogs were located and removed from the property with the assistance of St. Mary’s County Animal Control Officers.  

 
After execution of the search warrants, the following three individuals were charged:

 
Reginald “Ricky” Alan Price, was arrested and charged with two counts of CDS possession not marijuana (heroin and cocaine) and two counts of possession with intent to distribute (heroin and cocaine).

                                                         
Melvin Jerome Price, age 55 of Clements, was arrested and charged with CDS possession not marijuana (cocaine) and CDS possession paraphernalia.

 

Megan Lee Maxwell, age 37 of Clements, was arrested and charged with CDS possession not marijuana (Suboxone).

 
Additional charges are pending review with State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz.

Special Olympics


The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office was honored to be a part of the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony at Leonardtown High School.  The Special Olympics offer year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics provide athletes with continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, learn new skills, and share their unique gifts with family, friends, and the community.
