St. Mary's Ryken Students Visit Sheriff's Office

Members of the St. Mary's Ryken High School National Honors Society visited the Sheriff's Office today as part of Giving Tuesday, dropping off hot coffee and breakfast for deputies and staff.
Alumni of the school, Capt. Steven Hall, Special Operations Commander, and Lt. Robert Russell of the Special Operations Division spoke to the students about the law enforcement profession. Capt. Hall graduated from St. Mary's Ryken in 1988 and Lt. Russell graduated in 1985.
Law enforcement is stressful work, Hall told the students, but he added, "Your visits, those little things, these are the things that matter. These are the things that add up. A little thank you, that's where the difference is made."
