On October 16, 2018, at
approximately 11:40 p.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the 45900 block of Foxchase Drive in Great Mills, for the reported
disturbance. Investigation determined
Anthony Levi Taylor, age 30 of Lusby, arrived uninvited to the residence and
utilized a crowbar to force entry into the residence, ultimately damaging the
door. Once inside the residence, Taylor
began assaulting a female victim, striking her in the head and hand with the
crowbar. A second victim who was present
at the scene attempted to intervene and was struck in the hand with the
crowbar; Taylor then fled the scene on foot. Neither victim suffered
incapacitating injury from the assault. Taylor was located shortly after the
incident and placed under arrest. Corporal
Milton Pesante charged Taylor with Burglary 3rd Degree, two counts
of Assault 2nd Degree, and Malicious Destruction of Property.
