On
September 24, 2015, at 4:48 P.M. Corporal
Timothy Snyder attempted to initiate a vehicle stop on a Jeep Liberty reported
stolen in Calvert County, Maryland. The
vehicle failed to stop and fled a short distance through the Laurel Glen neighborhood before leaving the roadway and
effectively eluded the pursuing
officer. The stolen vehicle was later recovered on Monterey Place in Leonardtown, Maryland abandoned and the
ignition tampered with. The vehicle
was subsequently stored pending
processing by Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab Technicians. An investigation is continuing at this time.
