On April 1, 2016, at approximately 1:26 a.m., patrol units from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 22000 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park. Initial investigation revealed, a Ford F150 operated by Timothy Hinson Baxley, age 38, of Lexington Park, was traveling northbound on Three Notch Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a building. Subsequently, the building occupied by Franzen Realtors Inc. caught fire. Text messaging appears to be the primary cause of the vehicle exiting the roadway. The operator of the vehicle was transported via Maryland “Trooper 7” to Prince George’s Hospital Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
