Triple Armed Robbery Suspect IDENTIFIED by Detectives - Todd May

Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division, have identified Todd O’Neil May, age 44 of Brandywine, as the suspect responsible for 3 recent armed robberies which occurred at the Burchmart, Dollar General, and 7-Eleven in Mechanicsville.  A warrant has been issued for May’s arrest and detectives are actively attempting to locate him.

On June 14, 2015, patrol deputies and members of the Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit located a suspicious Dodge Ram pickup truck parked near a business in Lexington Park. Detectives determined the truck belonged to May. A search and seizure warrant was executed on the truck and evidence was recovered.

If you see May, DO NOT APPROACH him and call 9 1 1 immediately.  

Detectives are also urgently requesting a WITNESS who provided information to employees immediately following the armed robbery at the 7-Eleven call the Sheriff's Office Duty Officer at 301.475.4040 or Detective Cory Ellis at 301.475.4200 x9125. The witness is described as a white male in his 20’s, wearing a black baseball cap and white t-shirt.
