Clements, Maryland - On April 06, 2015, at 10:20 PM,
deputies responded to a motor
vehicle crash on Budds Creek Road in the area of Colton Point
Road. Deputies located a 2014 Jeep
Wrangler overturned resting in a field. The operator, identified as Noah
Christopher Reed, age 28, of Chaptico, was transported by Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to the Prince
George's Shock Trauma Center in critical condition.
Members of the St. Mary’s County
Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and
assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicated the vehicle left
the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a culvert before flipping on its side
and catching on fire. Contributing factors are undetermined at this time.
