Great Mills, Maryland - On April 22, 2015, at 5:19 PM, deputies, fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to Boothe Farm Lane located off of Flat Iron Road, for a serious motor vehicle crash. Deputies located a single vehicle that had crashed into a tree. The driver and sole occupant of the 2000 Chrysler Cirrus, identified as Ashley Lauren Taylor, age 25, of California, Maryland, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Sheriff's Office Collision Reconstruction Unit members responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicated Taylor was traveling westbound on Boothe Farm Lane when she lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a tree. At this time, speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
