Lexington Park, Maryland - On September 12, 2014 at 10:45
PM, Sheriff's Office patrol units responded to a report of gunshots in the area
of Manon Way in the Westbury neighborhood. Deputies located an adult female
victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported
to MedStar St. Mary's hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The initial
investigation revealed the victim was walking in the area of Premery Way with
friends when they were approached by an unidentified black male suspect. The suspect
suddenly fired multiple shots, striking the victim and nearby residences,
before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's
with a slender build (no further information).
