Sheriff Tim Cameron and the men and women of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office announce the retirement of Corporal Dung Ross ID #47 after 25 years of service. The Board of County Commissioners presented Corporal Ross with a proclamation this morning. Afterward, he received a much deserved standing ovation from his fellow officers and civilian coworkers.
Corporal Ross became a member of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office on February 6, 1989. Most notably, during his career, Corporal Ross was a DARE instructor and School Resource Officer in St. Mary's County Public Schools. He imparted a positive influence and mentored hundreds of St. Mary's County youths who continue to thank him whenever they see him on patrol.
His SMCSO family wish Corporal Ross, his wife Paula, and their family all the best in retired life. THANK YOU for 25 YEARS of dedicated service to St. Mary's County.
We will miss you.
