Detectives Arrest 2 After Robbery in Lexington Park

Lexington Park - On April 19, 2015, deputies responded to the Queen Anne Park Apartment complex on Great Mills Road, for a reported assault. Deputies located 2 male victims with significant injuries. One of the victims had a large cut on his face and a possible head injury. He was flown to an area hospital for treatment. The second victim was transported to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital by ambulance. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The investigation revealed a female began to argue with the two victims over a parking space. The female told her boyfriend, identified as suspect Tavon Mariando Thompson, age 18, of no fixed address, and his friend identified as suspect Deodis Lee Clyburn, JR., age 20, of Lexington Park, who then confronted the two victims in front of an apartment on Eric Road. Thompson and Clyburn began to strike the victims in the face. Clyburn struck one of the victims knocking him out. As the victim lay on the pavement, Clyburn stomped the victim's face with his foot. Clyburn then stole the same victim's property while he lay on the pavement unconscious. Meanwhile, Thompson was assaulting the second victim by punching him in the face until bystanders intervened. Thompson tried to steal the second victim's wallet, however the victim was able to stop him.

Thompson and Clyburn were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
