On-View Arrests, Warrants, Juvenile Referrals

On-View Arrests:

Resisting Arrest: On April 21, 2020, Deputy Michael Rycyzyn responded to the report of a single vehicle into a telephone pole at Flat Iron Road and Drayden Road. The operator of the vehicle, Sheldon Taylor Shaw, 24 of Valley Lee, was located and placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Shaw became combative and refused to listen to commands. Once in the vehicle after physically hindering, Shaw slipped his handcuffs to the front and hit the plexiglass prisoner cage and window bars of the Sheriff's Office cruiser. Shaw also spit on the plexiglass partition. A prisoner transport wagon was called, which Shaw also refused to enter. An ambulance was called and Shaw kept trying to roll off of the stretcher and spit all over the ambulance. Shaw was charged with Resisting Arrest and Malicious Destruction of Property, Value under $1,000. Case # 24968-20

Trespassing: On April 29, 2020, Cpl. Alvin Beishline charged Prestley Kerr, 61 of Lexington Park, with Trespassing on Private Property at 21628 Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Case # 26856-20 (no photograph available)

Burglary/Assault: On May 4, 2020, Deputy Michael Myers responded to the 21700 block of Kearsarge Place in Lexington Park for the report of a burglary in progress. The victim advised that Tracy Evan Hemsley Jr., 27 of Lexington Park, threw beer on the victim during an argument at the home. The victim also advised that Hemsley took the victim's cellphone and threw it into the kitchen area. Hemsley followed the victim outside of the home and began damaging the victim's vehicle. The victim went back into the home and Hemsley began kicking the front door to make entry. The victim then fled the residence in another vehicle and Hemsley began pursuing the victim in the victim's vehicle. Hemsley was located, arrested, transported to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown and charged with Third-Degree Burglary, Second-Degree Assault, Malicious Destruction of Property and Unauthorized Removal of Motor Vehicle. Theft: On May 4, 2020, Deputy Alexander Wynnyk charged Holly Lynn Gagliarducci, 30 of Leonardtown, with Theft less than $100 at the California Walmart store. Case # 27753-20

Theft: On May 5, 2020, Deputy Jessica Wilson charged Courtney Justine Curtis, 28 of Waldorf, and Christopher Bryon Morgan, 35 of Waldorf, with Theft: $100 to $1,500  for taking a motorized toy from the victim's property. Case # 27873-20 (no photographs available)

CDS: On May 6, 2020, while deputies were investigating a burglary in the Patuxent Park neighborhood in Lexington Park, a suspect was developed. Gerald Issiah Wade Jr., 19 of Lexington Park, was observed on a foot path with a large bulge in the front of his pants. Upon a pat down, a glass smoking device with burnt residue inside was located on his person. Additional pipes, push rods and a small plastic bag with a white powdery substance was located and identified as cocaine based. Wade was arrested by Deputy Andrew Burgess, transported to the detention center and charged with CDS Possession: Cocaine and CDS Possession Paraphernalia. Case # 28262-20

On April 12, 2020 a 13-year-old female from Valley Lee was referred to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services for Second-Degree Assault by Deputy Travis Wimberly. Case # 22271-20
