March 23, 2020 update: On March 19, 2020, a male juvenile age
16 from Lexington Park, was arrested and charged as an adult for his
involvement in two robberies that occurred in February of 2020. Through the course of the investigation
information was obtained leading to the juvenile suspect being identified as a
participant in the robberies. The suspect was charged with the following:
Armed Robbery (two counts)
Robbery (two counts)
Assault First Degree (two counts)
Assault Second Degree (two counts)
Theft (two counts)
The suspect is currently incarcerated at
the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center on a no bond status.
Due to a recent change in Maryland law the name and photograph of the juvenile
will not be released until the court makes a finding at the waiver hearing to
determine the jurisdiction of this case.
This is an active investigation and
anyone with information on the identity of the second suspect is asked to

Initial Release: On February 21, 2020,
two individuals entered the Island Sushi establishment located in the 21800
block of N Shangri La Drive. The
individuals displayed a weapon and obtained an undisclosed amount of currency
and fled the establishment on foot.
On February 23, 2020, two individuals
entered the 2000 Liquors establishment located in the 21800 block of N Shangri
La Drive. The individuals displayed a
weapon and obtained an undisclosed amount of currency and then fled the
establishment on foot.
In both robberies, the individuals
concealed their identity with masks. Anyone with information on the identities
