Identity Needed for Theft Suspect

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured for theft. On Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019 at 7:40 pm, the suspect entered the Food Lion grocery store in Leonardtown and went to checkout. The suspect did not have enough money to pay for the items and while the clerk voided the order, the suspect grabbed one of the bags containing cigarettes and other merchandise and fled the store. The suspect was last seen getting into a white Ford hatchback with front-end damage.
