In August of 2018, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics
Division, began an investigation into Devone Articis Hall’s (Age 30 with no
fixed address) involvement into the distribution of controlled dangerous
substances. A search and seizure warrant was obtained for Devone Hall’s person
and he also had an open arrest warrant reference an assault.
On September 13, 2018, members of the Vice Narcotics Division observed Hall
in a vehicle in the Loveville area. Hall was taken into custody after a brief
foot chase and struggle. Hall was found to be in possession of suspected
fentanyl (approx. $2,480.00), suspected cocaine (approx. $1,250.00), and suspected
heroin (approx. $4,400.00). A loaded handgun and ammunition were also located
in the vehicle.
Hall was arrested and charged with multiple CDS, firearms related charges,
and resisting arrest. Hall was incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention
and Rehabilitation Center and initially held with no bond. Additional charges
are pending a review with States Attorney Richard D. Fritz.
