Burglary- On September 15, 2018, DFC. Tirpak responded to the 46000 block of Franklin Road in Lexington Park, for a check the welfare. Investigation determined Terry Antonio Wheeler, age 50 of Waldorf, arrived at the victim's home uninvited. Wheeler was advised to leave the premises several times, and ultimately kicked the victim's door in, entered the residence, and began to assault the victim. Wheeler was located on scene and arrested; Wheeler was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, and Malicious Destruction of Property. CASE# 49178-18

Violation of Protective Order- On September 16, 2018, DFC. McCuen made contact with the victim at Sheriff's Office Headquarters in Leonardtown for a reported violation of a protective order. Investigation determined Krystal Anne Shlemon age 33 of Mechanicsville, sent at text message to the victim in violation of a court order stating she could not have contact of any kind with the victim. Contraband- On September 16, 2018, Cpl. Beishline responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center for the report of found contraband. Investigation determined Steven Rene Tharpe Jr., age 28 of Great Mills, was in possession of a cellular telephone. Tharpe returned to the facility from work release, with the cellphone, and did not store the cellphone in the locker as specified and instead kept the cellphone on his person. Assault- On September 16, 2018, Dep. Raley responded to the 16000 block of Thomas Road in Piney Point, for a reported assault. Investigation determined James Joseph McGuire, age 59 of Piney Point, had assaulted the victim during an argument, causing injury to the victim. Assault- On September 16, 2018, Cpl. Ruest responded to the 45000 block of Havenridge St. in California, for a follow-up investigation. During the follow-up, it was discovered the victim had been assaulted by Christopher Chad Butler, age 40 of California while the parties were in an argument. Theft- On September 17, 2018, DFC. McClure responded to the 45000 block of First Colony Way in California, for the reported theft. Investigation determined Patricia Harrison Eyler, age 30, and Lucy Rebecca Eyler, age 40, both of Drayden, attempted to use the self-checkout at Target to purchase minor items, and then both attempted to leave the Target store with numerous items which were not purchased.
