On View Arrests/Warrants/DUI

On View Arrests:

Drug Arrest-   On February 15, 2018, Cpl. Potter conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Essex Drive and South Shangri La Drive, in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, Deyonta Terrell Gross, age 24, of Great Mills.  Cpl. Potter smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle; further search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana and suspected Oxycodone.  Gross was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS-Not Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Greater than 10 Grams.   CASE# 8379-18

Assault- On February 16, 2018,  DFC. Tirpak responded to the 48000 block of Keel Drive, in Lexington Park, for a reported assault.  Upon arrival contact was made with two victims who advised they were assaulted by Carl Edward White, age 36, from Lexington Park,  during a verbal argument.  One of the victims displayed visible injury. White was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 8676-18

Assault-  On February 16, 2018, Deputy Ball responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, in Leonardtown, for a reported fight between two inmates.  Investigation revealed Melissa Kristen Tuzzo, age 31, of Great Mills,  and Serenity Faith Byrd, age 24, of Great Mills, were involved in a mutual altercation over the T.V. volume in their dayroom.  Tuzzo and Byrd were both charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 8691-18

Escape- On February 17, 2018, Cpl. J. Davis responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, located in Leonardtown, in reference to an escape.  Michael Lewis Johnson, age 56, of Mechanicsville, was charged with Escape 2nd Degree, for failing to report on February 16, 2018, as was court ordered.  CASE# 8796-18

Property Destruction- On February 17, 2018, Cpl. J. Davis responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, for a reported property destruction.  Investigation revealed Tyree Direckk Shields, age 26, of Lexington Park, damaged the fire sprinkler in his cell, causing the sprinkler to activate and the fire alarm to activate in the facility.  Shields was charged with Property Destruction.  CASE# 8766-18

Theft- On February 19, 2018, Cpl. Foor responded to the 13000 block of Pt. Lookout Road, in Ridge, for a reported theft.  Investigation revealed Nicole Mae Frye, age 19, of Ridge, stole merchandise from the Dollar General.  Frye was located, and charged with Theft via Criminal Citation.  CASE# 9171-18 (No Photograph Available)


Drug Arrest- On February 20, 2018, Cpl. Potter observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 45000 block of Foxchase Drive, in Great Mills.  Upon contact with the operator of the vehicle, Deyonta Terrell Gross, age 24, of Great Mills, Cpl. Potter smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  Further search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana, a scale, and suspected cocaine.  Gross was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS-Not Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Greater than 10 Grams. Assault- On February 20, 2018, Dep. Edwards responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, located in Leonardtown,  for a reported assault.  Investigation revealed Tiffany Nycole Gross, age 42, of Lexington Park, assaulted two employees while she was being escorted.  Gross began swinging her arms about, and struck one victim in the face, and struck another victim on the leg.  Gross was charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 9231-18

Protective Order Violation- On February 20, 2018, Dep. M. Beyer was on a call for service in the 17000 block of Piney Point Road, in Piney Point, when Brittany Nicole Ehrke, age 27, of Bineland, New Jersey, contacted the victim in violation of an active protective order.  Ehrke was placed under arrest and charged with Protective Order Violation.  CASE# 9344-18

Drug Arrest- On February 23, 2018, Cpl. Stone conducted a traffic stop in the 22000 block of Three Notch Road, in California.  Contact was made with the vehicle occupants; the passenger Rakeshia Janee Thomas, age 27, with no fixed address, was found to have an outstanding warrant for Child Support; further investigation revealed Thomas was in possession of suspected cocaine and Suboxone.  Thomas was arrested and served the outstanding warrant and also charged with two counts of CDS Possession- Not Marijuana, and two counts of CDS Possession- Paraphernalia.  CASE# 9788-18 (No Photograph Available)


Child Abuse- On February 24, 2018, Cpl. Foor responded to the 45000 block of Chancellors Run Court in Great Mills, for a reported assault. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who advised Willie Matthew Coates, age 43, of Great Mills, had assaulted the victim by strangling the victim.  Visible injury was observed to the victim and Coates was arrested and charged with Child Abuse 2nd Degree- Custodian, Child Abuse 2nd Degree -House, and Assault 2nd Degree.  Coates was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Assault and Child Abuse 2nd Degree- House.  CASE# 9967-18

Drug Arrest- On February 25, 2018, Sgt. Peacher and DFC. Smith located a suspicious vehicle in the 37000 block of Golden Beach Road, in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with passenger Makenzie Leah Tharp, age 18, of Mechanicsville.  Investigation revealed Tharp was in possession of a suspected LSD/Acid tablet.  Tharp was arrested and charged with CDS Possession-Not Marijuana by DFC. Assault- On February 25, 2018, Cpl. Kirkner responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, located in Leonardtown, for a reported assault.  Investigation revealed inmate Antonio George Queen, age 24, of Lexington Park, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim,  when Queen struck the victim several times.  Queen was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 10149-18

Threats of Arson- On February 25, 2018, Cpl. Kirkner responded to the 22000 block of Wicomico Street, in Leonardtown, for a report of  threats.  Contact was made with the victim who advised suspect Roger Glenn Chin, age 34, of Leonardtown, called the victim from the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center, located in Leonardtown.  Investigation revealed during the conversation, Chin threatened to burn down the victim's home.  Chin was arrested and charged with Threats of Arson.  CASE# 10193-18
