05/03/17 – Possess open Container in Public - Deputy First Class V. Pontorno responded to the 46000 block of South Shangri La Drive in Lexington park, MD, for a complaint of a subject consuming an alcoholic beverage in the parking lot area of a local retail establishment.  Deputy First Class V. Pontorno located the suspect, Jerome Daniels, 40 of Lexington Park, MD, and found him in possession of an open container in public.  The suspect was issued a Maryland Criminal Citation for the infraction. 05/04/17 – Trespassing on Private Property – Corporal T. Snyder responded to the Burger King on Great Mills Rd., MD, for the report of a subject trespassing. The investigation revealed the suspect, Joseph Kenneth Morgan, 54 of Lexington Park, MD, had been duly notified in writing not to enter upon the grounds of the Burger King on Great Mills Road by Corporal T. Snyder.  The suspect failed to comply with the “No Trespass Notice”, and was issued a Maryland Criminal Summons by Corporal T. Snyder.  CCN# 23757-17

05/04/17 – Trespassing on Private Property – Corporal T. Snyder located the suspects Joseph Michael Curtis, 53 of Lexington Park, MD, and William Alexander Sledge, 60 of Lexington Park, MD, on private property that they had previously received a written, “No Trespass Notice” for by Deputy First Class V. Pontorno. The investigation revealed the suspects failed to comply with the “No Trespass Notice”, and were issued a  Criminal Summons by Corporal T. Snyder.  CCN# 23761-17

05/08/17 – Theft Less $1000 and Malicious Destruction of Property – Deputies responded to the Walmart in California, MD, for a reported theft in progress.  Prior to deputies arrival, the two suspects fled the store.  Loss prevention personnel followed the suspects and provided location updates to the responding units.  Deputies located and detained both suspects identified as Patricia Lee Largen, 28 of California, MD, and Brian Morton Whitehouse, 30 of California, MD. The investigation revealed the suspects entered the business with their children.  Suspect Largen concealed numerous items  having a value over $500 and damaged part of a display, while suspect Whitehouse acted as a “lookout” during the theft.  Deputy First Class R. Steinbach arrested both suspects and transported them to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where they were both charged with Theft Less $1000 and Malicious Destruction of Property.  CCN# 24386-17


Dorsey, Jermaine Cornellius
05/08/17 – Assault 2nd Degree – Deputies responded to the St. Mary’s County Park and Ride located on Airport Road in California, MD, for a third party reported assault in progress.  Deputies were advised by the Emergency Communication Dispatchers that citizens were calling in the assault and advised the subjects engaged in the fight were inside a passenger vehicle.  Deputies located the vehicle and the subjects inside, actively engaged in an altercation. The investigation revealed the suspect, Jermaine Cornellius Dorsey, 35 of Waldorf, MD, attempted to pull the victim out of the vehicle, kicked the victim in the stomach, and struck the victim several times with a closed fist in the face.  Deputy J. Davis observed injuries to the victim consistent with victim and witness statements of what had transpired.  Deputy J. Davis arrested the suspect and transported him to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.   CCN# 24374-17

Thompson, Shawn Kelley
05/09/17 – Two counts of Assault 2nd Degree – Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Sayre Point Lane in Piney Point, MD, for a reported assault.  The investigation revealed the suspect and a family member became engaged in a verbal fight.  Another family member attempted to intervene in an attempt to deescalate the situation, however, the suspect Shawn Kelley Thompson, 31 of Piney Point, MD, shoved and attempted to strike the intervening family member.  As a result of the commotion, another family member entered and was bitten and struck in the face by the suspect.   Deputy First Class R. Steinbach observed injuries to the victim consistent with the reported allegations.  The suspect was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree.
