On View Arrests:
Assault- On September 9, 2021, Dep. Hill responded to the 27100 block of Barton Street in Mechanicsville, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Donald Wade Balch Jr., age 33 of Mechanicsville, assaulted the victim by strangling the victim and holding the victim on the floor. Visible injury was observed to the victim's neck and Balch was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree.
Assault- On September 11, 2021, Dep. Budd responded to the 46800 block of Hilton run Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Ahmoni Breneick Clayton, age 25 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim during an argument by punching the victim in the face, causing visible injury. The victim and a witness also reported Clayton retrieved a handgun and pointed it at the victim during the incident. Clayton was arrested and charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree.
Handgun Arrest- On September 12, 2021, Dep. Jerew located a vehicle in 26100 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville, that was in the southbound turn lane but was facing northbound. Contact was made with the vehicle operator, Lacey Donnell Rainey Jr., age 43 of Upper Marlboro. Rainey was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence and located in the console of the vehicle was a loaded handgun. Rainey was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Handgun in Vehicle and Loaded Handgun in Vehicle.
Property Destruction- On September 16, 2021, Dep. Lawrence responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported property destruction. Investigation determined Matthew Scott Hurry, age 35 of Georgia, broke several plastic pieces on equipment utilized at the detention center. Hurry was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.
Assault- On September 16, 2021, Dep. Lawrence responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Kyjuan Tyrese Bush, age 20 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by spraying the victim in the face with liquid in a spray bottle. Bush was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
