Identity Needed for Theft Suspect

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured in a theft investigation. On Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021 at 8 am, the suspect entered the California Walmart with a shopping cart containing the victim's purse. The victim inadvertently left the black Steve Madden purse in the shopping cart after putting purchased merchandise into the victim's vehicle. The suspect was later observed leaving the Walmart with the victim's purse.
