03/23/17 – False Statement to a Peace Officer and Warrant Service – Deputy C. Ball responded to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for a Warrant Service. Upon arrival, he met with the suspect, Christie Elizabeth Smallwood, 27 of Clinton, MD, who advised she had received a letter indicating there was an outstanding arrest warrant under her name. The investigation revealed the suspect had provided a fictitious name and date of birth to law enforcement during a theft investigation. Deputy Ball arrested the suspect and transported her to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged for False Statement to a Peace Officer and served the open warrant for Failing to Appear in District Court. 03/25/17 – Violation of Peace Order - Deputy D. Sidorowicz responded to the 45000 block of Wrong Way Lane in California, MD for an alleged violation of a Peace Order. The investigation revealed suspect Kimberley Bernice Bowles, 43 of California, MD, violated an active peace order by contacting the victim in person and making unwanted statements to him. The suspect was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with Violation of Peace Order. CCN #16409-17

03/25/17 - Theft of Motor Vehicle – Deputies responded to the area of Budds Creek Road and Long Rd., Mechanicsville, MD, for numerous traffic complaints of motorcycles operating in a reckless and dangerous manner. Corporal J. Yingling located the motorcycles at a residence in the 24000 block of Long Rd. A check of the motorcycles VIN numbers confirmed they were stolen. The 2008 Suzuki dirt bike was reported stolen through the LaPlata Police Department, and the 2009 Yamaha Motorcycle was reported stolen through Prince George’s County Police Department. The Investigation revealed the operator as suspect John Joseph Eberwein, 22 of Avenue, MD. The suspect was located and arrested. The suspect was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle. CCN # 16453-17

03/26/17 – Violation of Peace Order – Deputy Siciliano responded to 22000 block of Valley Estates Dr., Lexington Park, MD for the report of a violation of a peace order. Upon arrival, the victim provided evidence that the suspect, Tiarra Lashelle Brooks, 32 of Lexington Park, MD, had repeatedly contacted the victim through Facebook. The victim further advised she has an active Peace Order issued by District Court prohibiting the suspect from harassing or contacting her. Deputy Siciliano located and arrested the suspect. She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where the suspect was charged with two counts of Failing to comply with a Peace Order. CCN #16535-17

03/26/17 – Assault 2nd Degree – Deputies responded to the 20000 block of Primrose Ct., Lexington Park, MD for a reported Domestic Assault. Deputy C. Edwards met with the victim who advised she and the suspect, Jonathan Albert Anderson, 26 of Lexington Park, MD, were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when the suspect struck the victim on the right side of her head and face, leaving visible signs of injury. The suspect had fled the scene prior to deputies arrival. Anderson was apprehended a short distance away and arrested. The suspect was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CCN #16532-17

03/26/17 – Violation of Peace Order – Deputy J. Bush responded to Lancaster Park in Lexington Park, MD, for a reported harassment. The investigation revealed the suspect, Mark Eugene Johnson, 57 of Lexington Park, MD, began recording and following the victim in the park causing the victim alarm. Deputy Bush determined the suspect was in violation of an active Peace Order protecting the victim from contact and harassment by the suspect. The suspect was located in the immediate area and arrested. The suspect was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Violation of a Peace Order. CCN #16562-17

03/27/17- CDS Violation - Cpl. J. Stone responded to the 40000 block of King Drive, Mechanicsville, MD, for a reported noise complaint coming from a vehicle parked on the roadway in the community. Witnesses identified the driver as Romaine Antonio Bailey 26, of Mechanicsville, MD. Cpl. Stone located the vehicle and suspect who was subsequently found to be in the possession of Cocaine and related CDS paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance – Not Marijuana and CDS – Possession Paraphernalia.
