Arrests 11-12-2015

11-3-15 – Theft – Sgt. J. Yingling responded to the 40000 block of Merchant’s Lane (Rite Aid) in Leonardtown, for the report of a theft. The suspect, Amy Copsey, age 33, of Mechanicsville, attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise. Copsey was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft under $100. CASE# 64286-15

11-4-15 – Theft – Deputy S. Cameron responded to the 45000 block of First Colony Way (Target) in California, for the report of a theft. Further investigation revealed, the suspect, Ilana Antwanette-Nicole Graham, age 19, of Lexington Park, had been involved in a theft scheme with a former Target employee since October 14, 2015. Graham was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft $1,000 - $10,000 and Theft Scheme $1,000 - $10,000. CASE# 64494-15

11-7-2015 – Deputy First Class J. Kirkner responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, for the report of an assault. The suspect, Aaron R. Simms, age 26, of Fort Washington, was observed pushing another inmate into a wall. Approximately 45-minutes later, Simms was observed striking the victim in the face with a closed fist. Simms was charged with Two Counts of Second Degree Assault and Two Counts of Assaulting a DOC Employee. CASE# 1-15-65007

11-8-2015 – Deputy J. Kerns responded to the 30000 block of Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall, for the report of a disturbance. The victim alleged the suspect, Donald E. Walker, age 27, of No Fixed Address, attempted to assault the victim after a confrontation over damage to the victim’s truck, believed to be caused by Walker. Walker was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Second Degree Assault and Malicious Destruction of Property over $1000. CASE# 65342-15

11-9-15 – Rogue and Vagabond – Deputy D. Mcclure responded to the 23000 block of Esperanza Drive in Lexington Park, for an attempted burglary. The suspect, Casey Michael Shores, age 23, of Lexington Park, was observed attempting to gain access to multiple vehicles. Shores was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Three Counts of Rogue and Vagabond.CASE# 65425-15
