Theft/Fraud- On June 1, 2021, Cpl. Pontorno responded to the 21700 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported theft. Contact was made with an individual matching the suspect's description and the individual provided deputies with a false name. Investigation determined the individual's name to be Charles Cornelius Butler, age 46 of Lexington Park. Located on Butler's person was merchandise belonging to the business. Assault- On June 6, 2021, Dep. Westphal responded to the 21900 block of Rosewood Terrace in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Jonathan Jacob Resnick, age 47 of Lexington Park, punched the victim in the face. There is a valid court order preventing Resnick from abusing the victim. The shotgun was recovered and the serial number on the gun had been scratched off.
