On January 7, 2016, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office disseminated a press release regarding the arrest of Nathan Allan Bailey, age 30, of Mechanicsville, who has been charged with First Degree Assault, First Degree Child Abuse, Second Degree Assault, and Child Neglect of a seven-month-old.
At the time of the release, the victim remained in critical condition at Children’s National Medical Center located in the District of Columbia. On today’s date, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The case remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
