Press Release -- Bomb Threat at Lexington Park Elementary School

At approximately 10:50 a.m. this morning, Lexington Park Elementary School received a call advising there was a bomb in the school that would go off in thirty seconds. Numerous K9 units, Patrol Units and the Lexington Park COPs Unit responded to the scene.

A complete search of the interior and exterior of the school yielded negative results for explosive devices.

At this time, it is unknown if this threat is related to similar incidents being investigated by authorities in Maryland and Delaware.
