Press Release (December 7, 2015):
On December 6, 2015, at approximately
3:02 a.m., St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of
Canopy Liquors in Lexington Park, in reference to a subject reporting they had been shot. Upon arrival deputies located the
victim, Kevin Jerome Chase, age 45, outside of Canopy Liquors suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The subject was transported to Washington Hospital Center
with non-life threatening injuries. The St.
Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) assumed the investigation.
