On December 6, 2015, at approximately 3:02 A.M., St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of Canopy Liquors in Lexington Park, in reference to a subject reporting they had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Kevin Jerome Chase, age 45, outside of Canopy Liquors displaying a gunshot wound to the upper body. The subject was transported to Washington Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
