On December 15, 2015, at approximately 6:20 p.m., patrol units from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle collision on Route 235 (north of Route 245) in Hollywood. Initial investigation revealed, a box truck being operated by Johnny Thomas, age 34, was traveling southbound on Route 235, when for unknown reasons at this time, the vehicle crossed the median and struck a Ford F250 being operated by Brad Gottschall, age 61, which was traveling northbound. Subsequently, the F250 then struck a Mercury sedan being operated by Erin King, age 34. Thomas and Gottschall were both flown to Prince George’s County Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, there is no evidence of alcohol or speed as a contributing factor.
