Arrests 11/25/2015

11-23-2015 – Theft – Deputy A. Schultz responded to the Best Buy in California, for the report of a theft. Witnesses reported a male subject fled the store after stealing merchandise. A female, who was with the male suspect, remained on the scene. The suspect, Megan Leanne Murphy, age 22 of Charlotte Hall, was unable to provide a receipt for items obtained from Target. Contact was made with the Target Store in California, and a search of their inventory system showed they were missing the items in Murphy’s possession. Murphy was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Less than $1000. CASE# 68155-15

11-22-2015 – Possession – While responding to an accident, Deputy M. Rodgers heard what appeared to be another accident at a nearby location. While responding to the second accident, Deputy Rodgers observed a suspect throw a baggie on the ground. Subsequently, a vehicle stop was conducted and the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. A search of the area revealed the baggie contained a large amount of suspected crack cocaine. The suspect, John Wendell Young, age 41, of Leonardtown, was arrested and transported to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital. Upon his release, he was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with CDS: Not Marijuana, Driving Under The Influence, and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. CASE# 67985-15

11-20-2015 – Theft – Deputy J. Smith responded to the Best Buy in California, for the report of a theft. The suspect, James Ray Delahoussaye, age 30, of Lusby, opened sealed merchandise in the store with the intention of using it without paying for it. He was placed under arrest and a routine search was performed. The search revealed a homemade metal cooking dish, hypodermic syringes, and burnt residue consistent with heroin. Delahoussaye was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with CDS Possession: Not Marijuana (Heroin), Two Counts of CDS Possession: Paraphernalia, CDS Equipment for Possession/Distribution and Theft Less Than $100. CASE# 67622-15

11-20-2015 – Deputy G. Mushchette responded to the 46000 block of Lexington Village Way (Kohl’s Department Store) for the report of a shoplifter in custody. The suspect, Shailita Shorna Holt, age 19, of Lexington Park, attempted to conceal merchandise and leave the store without paying. Holt was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft under $1000. CASE# 67657-15

11-24-2015 – Burglary – While checking vacant buildings in the area of Great Mills Road and South Coral Drive, Deputy Vincent J. Pontorno discovered an unsecured door on the 21000 block of Great Mills Road. The suspect, William Alexander Sledge, age 28, of Lexington Park, was found sleeping in the vacant building. Sledge was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Fourth Degree Burglary and Trespassing – Private Property. CASE# 68394-15

11-29-2015 – Deputy M. Mccuen was conducting a vehicle stop for failure to stop at a stop sign. While making contact with the operator of the vehicle he observed the suspect, Kellie Lee MacLaughlin, age 28, of Mechanicsville, in the front passenger seat. When asked for her information, the suspect falsely provided her sister’s identification card. A records check revealed MacLaughlin was wanted for a violation of probation in Charles County. She was arrested and charged with False Statement to Police Officer and Display Government Identification of Another. CASE# 69546-15

11-29-2015 – Deputy D. Smith responded to the 21000 block of Ronald Drive in Lexington Park, for the report of property destruction. A victim alleged the suspect, Marcus Xavier Blackwell, age 29, of Lexington Park, broke the victim’s door and stole the victim’s phone. After fleeing the scene, Blackwell was located and arrested. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with First Degree Burglary, Third Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property Less than $500. CASE# 69543-15

11-29-2015 – Deputy C. Ball responded to the 45000 block of Fox Chase Drive in Great Mills, for a reported domestic assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Cecelia Rose Marie Carr, age 26 of Great Mills, punched the victim during an argument. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Carr was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Second Degree Assault. CASE# 69479-15

11-28-2015 – Assault – Deputy J. Bittner responded to a call for a suspicious incident involving a man with a gun in the 14000 block of Eisenhower Way. While at a bonfire, several witnesses observed the suspect, Daniel Dennis Gallahan, age 28, of Scotland, threatening several victims with a gun.  One of the victims attempted to take the gun from him and while attempting to do so Gallahan fired two rounds into the ground. Gallahan was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, Three Counts of Reckless Endangerment, Handgun on Person and Firearm Use During Commission of Violent Crime. CASE# 69409-15

11-29-2015 – While conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Cameron detected what appeared to be a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Subsequently, a search of the vehicle was performed. Deputy Cameron found a clear pill capsule containing a white powdery substance consistent with cocaine. Estep was placed under arrest and charged with CDS Possession: Nor Marijuana. CASE# 69478-15

11-29-2015 – Assault – Deputy D. Lawrence responded to the 20000 block of Flour Mill Court in Great Mills, for the report of an assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Amanda Jane Brown, age 22, of Great Mills, assaulted the victim and then destroyed the victim’s property. Brown was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Second Degree Assault and Malicious Destruction of Property under $1000.  CASE# 69456-15

11-29-2015 – Assault – Deputy D. Lawrence responded to the 20000 block of Flour Mill Court in Great Mills, for the report of an assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Damisha Inez Corbin, age 23, of Great Mills, struck the victim in the face several times with a closed fist. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Corbin was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with First Degree Assault and Second Degree Assault. CASE# 69456-15

11-29-2015 – Assault – Deputy R. Steinbach responded to the 45000 block of Stoneyford Way in Great Mills, for the report of an assault between roommates which involved a knife. The victim alleged the suspect, Nicholas Anthony Hendricks, age 27, of Great Mills, pointed a large knife at the victim after a verbal dispute. Hendricks was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with First Degree Assault and Second Degree Assault. CASE# 69420-15

11-27-15 – Reckless Endangerment – Deputy A. Manns responded to the 43000 block of Medleys Neck Road in Leonardtown, for a reported weapons violation. Several victims alleged the suspect, John David Schirmacher, age 51, of Leonardtown, was shooting his gun during target practice when they observed a bullet pass them and strike their residence. Schirmacher was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Four Counts of Reckless Endangerment. CASE# 68977-15
