THEFT – On November 18, 2014,
Deputy Jason Smith responded to Walmart in California for a reported employee
theft. Loss prevention employees reported the suspect identified as Sheila
Aleese Wagner, 21, of Great Mills, stole over $6,000.00 from the cash register
while working over a period of 10 days. Wagner was placed under arrest and
transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 4
COUNTS of Theft Under $10,000, 3 COUNTS of Theft Under $1,000, Theft Scheme
Under $10,000, and Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance Paraphernalia
after a smoking device was found in her handbag. CASE #61639-14

THEFT – On November 18, 2014,
Deputy Cole was driving through the Walmart parking lot when he was approached
by a Walmart loss prevention employee. The employee pointed to a female in the
parking lot who he suspected of stealing merchandise from the store. As Deputy
Cole turned his attention to the female she fled on foot to a vehicle. Deputy
Cole gave chase and was able to apprehend the female suspect a short time
later. Loss prevention employees alleged the suspect, identified as Jenny Lynn
McDaniel, 27, of Saint Leonard, attempted to leave the store with a cart full
of merchandise which had not been paid for. A loss prevention employee stopped
McDaniel and asked for the receipt. McDaniel turned the cart around to continue
shopping only to attempt to leave from another set of doors with the
merchandise. McDaniel was stopped again at which time she left the cart and
fled from the store. The total amount of stolen merchandise was over $900.00.
McDaniel was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County
Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Under $1,000. CASE #61638-14

ASSAULT – On November 18,
2014, Deputy Lawrence responded to a residence on Oak Acres Road in
Mechanicsville for a reported domestic assault. The victim alleged suspect Leonard
Wayne Phillips, 46, of Mechanicsville, pushed the victim to the floor and into
a cabinet causing visible injury. Phillips was placed under arrest and transported
to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd
Degree Assault. CASE #61650-14

THREAT OF ARSON – On November
22, 2014, a victim reported suspect David Wayne Brown JR., 35, of Hollywood, threatened to kill the victim and the victim's family. Brown then threatened to burn down the victim’s residence. The threat was made during an argument
over the phone. Corporal J. Somerville located Brown and placed him under
arrest. Brown was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and
charged with Threat of Arson. CASE #62570-14

THEFT – On November 22, 2014,
Deputy Pontorno responded to Walmart in California for a reported theft. Loss
prevention employees alleged suspect Marcus Deprese Woody, 33, of Lexington
Park, stole over $5,200 worth of electronics while employed in the receiving
department at the store. Woody was
placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
He was charged with Theft Under $10,000.
