ASSAULT - On August 6, 2014, Deputy McCuen responded to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for a fight between inmates. The investigation revealed suspect Aaron Jamal Hudson, 19, of Leonardtown, struck the victim several times with fists after the victim caught him stealing food items from his cell. Hudson was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

DRUG POSSESSION - On August 5, 2014, Deputy Krum, assigned to the Lexington Park COPs UNIT, initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet van in the area of Great Mills Road and East Westbury Blvd. As he approached the vehicle, the driver later identified as suspect Dana Marie Royster, 30, of no fixed address, moved to the back of the van. Deputy Krum opened the rear compartment doors and found Royster trying to shove something into her pants. Royster was taken into custody and the item was found to be a suspected cocaine smoking device. A computer check indicated Royster's privilege to drive was revoked and she had 3 open arrest warrants through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police. Royster was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where the warrants were served and she was charged with Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance: Not Marijuana, Possession Paraphernalia, and numerous traffic violations.
