SMCSO Investigating Suspicious Incident in Wildewood

California, Maryland - On August 18, 2014 at 5:30 PM, deputies responded to the area of Widewood Parkway and Dahlia Drive for a suspicious incident. The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a single report that a male juvenile was riding his bicycle when he heard a male voice say, "Hey, get in here." The juvenile turned to see 2 male subjects inside a silver truck with cap (no further description). The passenger door of the truck was open and the passenger, described as having black hair, light beard, wearing a gray or black tee shirt was looking at the juvenile. The juvenile rode away on his bicycle, returned home, and told his parents. The truck did not follow him. No description of the driver is available.

Numerous deputies conducted an extensive canvass of the Wildewood subdivision and surrounding area but were unable to locate the truck. Deputies returned to the subdivision today and conducted additional crime prevention and neighborhood canvassing.
