On View Arrests:
Drug Arrest- On September 8, 2021, a search warrant was executed in the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, on John Wendell Young, age 47 of Lexington Park. Located on Young's person was suspected cocaine and packaging to indicate distribution. A second search warrant was executed at Young's residence and located was scale containing suspected cocaine residue, and a large quantity of suspected marijuana. Young was charged with Possession of CDS: Not Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Distribute, and CDS: Manufacture Equipment.
Drug Arrest- On September 16, 2021, a search warrant was executed in the 21100 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, on Raymond Michael Shorts, age 31 of no fixed address. Located on Shorts' person was several pills suspected to be fake oxycodone containing suspected fentanyl, along with packaging to indicate distribution. Short was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession With Intent to Distribute and CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana by DFC. T. Snyder# 342.
Raymond Michael Shorts
Armed Robbery- On September 25, 2021, Dep. Wynnyk responded to the 22700 block of Three Notch Road in California, for the reported robbery. Investigation determined Cory Adam Dare, age 31 of Leonardtown, assaulted the victim by kicking and punching the victim. The victim further advised a gun was displayed and personal items stolen to include a cellphone and money. Dare was located, arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Theft, Assault 2nd Degree, and Malicious Destruction of Property.
Assault- On September 25, 2021, DFC. Raley responded to the 22700 block of Three Notch Road in California, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Kayla Marie Pitts, age 33 of California, assaulted the victim by pushing the victim and scratching the victim's neck. Pitts was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Assault- On September 27, 2021, Dep. Lawrence responded to the 27100 block of Erin Drive in Mechanicsville, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Thomas Richard Emerson III, age 39 of Mechanicsville, pushed the victim and threw the victim's phone, shattering the screen. Emerson also punched another victim in the face, causing injury to the victim's cheek. Emerson was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property.

Assault- On September 29, 2021, Dep. Budd responded to the 21300 block of Chancellor's Run Road in Great Mills, for the reported disturbance. Investigation determined Mark Wayne Williams, age 53 of Great Mills, threw items at the victim, striking the victim and cutting the victim's hand. Williams was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
