Throughout the month of January
2018, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to
multiple reports of residential burglaries and burglaries to motor vehicles, in
the Lexington Park area. Neighborhood
canvasses were conducted and images of the suspect were captured with the use
of residential security cameras.
The investigations were continued
by the Criminal Investigations Division, (CID), and through the course of the
investigations, information was developed identifying Jermaine Stanley
Greenwell, age 26, of Great Mills, as the individual responsible for the
crimes. Greenwell was arrested on February 9, 2018, and was charged with the
following criminal violations:
Burglary First Degree
Attempted Burglary First Degree
Rouge and Vagabond
Theft $100 to Under $1500
This case has been reviewed with
the State’s Attorney’s Office, and further criminal charges are
forthcoming. Anyone with further
