Domestic Assault – On July
31, 2015, Deputy Siciliano met with a victim who reported a domestic related
assault. The victim alleged suspect Thomas Pierce Smith, age 42, of Manassas,
VA, threw a cigarette lighter striking the victim in the leg while at a residence on Hickory Hollow Lane in California. Smith then threw a glass
ashtray at the victim but missed. The ashtray hit the wall and shattered. Smith
then left the home for about 15 minutes. When Smith returned the altercation
continued in the kitchen. Smith struck the victim in the head with his fist
then grabbed the victim by the hair. Deputy Siciliano observed multiple
injuries on the victim. Smith was placed under arrest and transported to the
St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree

Thomas Smith
Assault – On July 31, 2015,
Deputy D. Smith responded to a residence on Thomas Road in Piney Point, for a
reported assault. The investigation revealed the victim and suspect Margaret
Emma Schneider, age 18, of Piney Point, engaged in an argument. Schneider suddenly
began to hit the victim repeatedly until another person pulled her off. Deputy Smith found the victim lying on the ground bleeding from the
face. The victim was transported to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment
of non life-threatening injuries. Schneider was placed under arrest and
transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd

Theft – On June 11, 2015, a
victim reported his wallet was stolen from his vehicle while parked in St. Mary’s
County. The wallet contained several credit cards, which were subsequently used
to make fraudulent purchases at various locations in St. Mary’s County. During
the investigation video surveillance footage was obtained from the various
businesses where the cards were used. The suspect using the stolen cards was
subsequently identified as Martin nmn Bray, age 40, of Lexington Park. On August
3, 2015, Bray was charged via criminal summons with Use of a Credit Card
Belonging to Another, 2 COUNTS of Theft of Credit Card, Rogue and Vagabond,
Theft Scheme Under $1,000. CASE #34195-15

Burglary – On August 4, 2015,
Corporal Corcoran responded to a residence on Rogers Drive in Lexington Park
for a burglary. Multiple victims inside the home reported suspect Jeremiah Lee
Logan, age 34, of Lexington Park, forced open the front door looking for a
female, who was not there. Logan then left, only to return and force the door open
a second time. Logan confronted a male victim inside the home and was about to
assault him when another subject pulled Logan away. Logan was located at his nearby
residence and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County
Detention Center and charged with 1st Degree Burglary – Home Invasion,
3rd Degree Burglary, Property Destruction, and Disorderly Conduct.

Failure to Register Sex
Offender – On July 22, 2015, suspect Abdull Kareem Muhammad AKA Donald Taylor,
age 34, of no fixed address, failed to register as a homeless sex offender as
required by Maryland statute. Muhammad, who is a tier III lifetime registered
sex offender, had received written notification to register on 7-22-15 and was
subsequently advised he was not in compliance by Corporal Raddatz of the
Criminal Investigations Division Sex Offender Compliance Unit. Corporal Raddatz
obtained a warrant charging Muhammad with Failure to Register. On July 27,
2015, Muhammad was located, placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s
County Detention Center where the warrant was served. CASE#43979-15
