Arrests 10-27-14

FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT – On October 20, 2014, Deputy Logue responded to a residence on Holly Hill Lane in California, for a domestic assault. The victim alleged suspect Annette Wright Gonzalez, 44, of California, struck the victim with her hands and threw a knife at the victim during an argument. Gonzalez was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Assault.

ROGUE & VAGABOND – On October 22, 2014, Deputy S. Cameron responded to the 23000 block of FDR Blvd., after a citizen reported seeing a male suspect entering unlocked vehicles and attempting to open other vehicles in the parking lot. The citizen provided a description of the suspect. Deputy Cameron observed a male suspect matching the description who immediately fled on foot as Deputy Cameron approached. The suspect, identified as Earl Linwood Kent JR., 19, of Great Mills, was taken into custody after a short foot chase. He was subsequently identified as the suspect seen entering and attempting to entry parked vehicles. Kent was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Rogue and Vagabond.

VIOLATION PROTECTIVE ORDER – On October 23, 2014, Corporal D. Snyder responded to a residence located in the 26000 block of South Sandgates Road, for a reported violation of a protective order. The victim alleged suspect Donald Earl Walker, 26, of Hughesville, entered the victim’s yard and yelled at the victim in violation of an active protective order. Walker was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2 COUNTS Violation of Protective Order.

VIOLATION PROTECTIVE ORDER – On October 23, 2014, Corporal Corcoran responded to a residence on Fox Chase Drive, for a reported violation of a protective order. The victim alleged suspect Nathaniel Carl Taylor, 20, of Park Hall, called the victim on the phone in violation of an active protective order. Corporal Corcoran located Taylor and placed him under arrest. Taylor was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Violation of Protective Order.

FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT – On October 26, 2014, DFC Flerlage responded to a residence on Mount Wolf Way in Charlotte Hall, for a subject with a knife. DFC Flerlage located a male victim inside the residence who reported suspect Matthew Garrett Nicholson, 30, of Charlotte Hall, was arguing with a female in the home and began to chase her with a knife. The male victim attempted to intervene and was punched in the torso by Nicholson. Nicholson was subsequently apprehended exiting the attack window. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Nicholson was charged with 1st Degree Assault and 2 COUNTS 2nd Degree Assault.

ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER – On October 24, 2014, Deputy Teague responded to a residence on Lawrence Avenue, for a disturbance. Deputy Teague spoke to Doris Elizabeth Thomas, 49, of Leonardtown, who appeared to be very intoxicated and refused to answer questions. Thomas turned the volume up on her stereo so that Deputy Teague could not hear her. As he turned the volume down, Thomas slapped his arm and pushed him away from the stereo. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

ASSAULT – On October 24, 2014, Deputy Beyer responded to a residence in Mechanicsville for an assault. The victim alleged suspect Glenn Fitzgerald Fenwick, 53, of Mechanicsville, engaged in an argument with the victim over a text message the victim received. The victim and Fenwick went outside where the argument continued. Fenwick then grabbed a shovel and struck the victim on the back of the arm. Deputy Beyer observed a fresh injury on the victim’s arm. Fenwick was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
