DNR, SMCSO Looking for Missing Swimmer

Millpoint Shores, Mechanicsville - at approximately 2:05 PM, SMCSO deputies and officers from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Police responded to the report of a missing 11 year old, black female. She was last seen in the water of the Wicomico River. DNR is leading search efforts to locate her. Deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, Troopers from the Maryland State Police, Fire Department and Rescue Squad personnel are on the scene assisting as well.
