St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics detectives developed Maurice Terrell Kent (Age 33 of Great Mills, MD) as a distributor of Heroin. Undercover purchases of heroin were conducted and a search and seizure warrant was obtained for his home. St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Team, K-9 deputies, and Vice/Narcotics Support Team deputies, executed the search warrant on his Great Mills residence. Detectives recovered numerous baggies of heroin which were pre-packaged for sale and carried a street value of nearly $1,100, more than $3,900 in cash, a handgun and two boxes of ammunition. Additional charges are pending a review with State’s Attorney Richard D. Fritz.

In an unrelated investigation, Lavonte Devon King (Age 24 of Lexington Park) was the target of a drug investigation which led to detectives obtaining a search and seizure warrant for his Lexington Park home.
