Correctional Officers Graduate from the Emergency Response Team Academy

On May 27, 2016, the St. Mary’s County Detention Center graduated three officers from the Emergency Response Team (ERT) Academy that was held at The Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy in Nanjemoy, Maryland.

The training lasted for seven days and consisted of class instruction, team building, and strenuous physical exercise.The ERT Team responds to emergency situations that pose a potential threat to other inmates and staff while maintaining security, custody, and control in the Detention Center. 

Please join Sheriff Tim Cameron and the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office in congratulating Correctional Officer Ryan Rosario, Correctional Officer Brianna Hammet, and Correctional Officer Matthew Zumbrun.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office also wishes to extend their congratulations to the Charles County and Calvert County EST Academy graduates.
