The BOCC issued a proclamation in recognition of October being Domestic Violence Awareness month.

"The scars you cant see as a result of domestic violence are the hardest to heal" -Unknown

"Domestic violence victim's often believe that if they change, so will their abuser. This is a myth. One in every four women will become a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime. The community as a whole has a responsibility to report domestic violence in an effort to protect our family, friends, colleagues, and maybe even a stranger from abuse in any form at the hands of an intimate partner" --Detective Melissa Green.
