On View Arrests:
Malicious Destruction of Property- On February 16, 2022, Dep. Lawrence responded to the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown, for the reported property destruction. Investigation determined Derrick Justin Connolly, age 35 of St. Inigoes, destroyed a kiosk machine at the detention center by repeatedly slamming a phone receiver into the kiosk. Connolly then pulled the phone from the attached cable, damaging the wire. Connolly was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.
Theft- On February 16, 2022, Dep. Budd responded to the 21400 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported theft. An employee of the business advised an individual entered the store wearing a backpack and stole items. Dep. Budd quickly located Nathan Lee Davis, age 30 of no fixed address. Located inside the bookbag were numerous items from the business Davis had not purchased. Davis also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. Davis was arrested and charged with Theft and served the two outstanding warrants for Violation of Probation.
Violation of Protective Order- On February 17, 2022, Cpl. Maloy responded to the 29600 block of Donna Drive in Mechanicsville, for the reported protective order violation. Investigation determined Christopher Shannon Bridgett, age 23 of Mechanicsville, mailed the victim a letter in violation of a valid court order. Bridgett was charged with Violation of Protective Order.
Assault- On February 20, 2022, DFC. Hersh responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Christopher Shannon Bridgett, age 23 of Mechanicsville, sprayed the two victims in the face, arms, and legs with an unknown substance. Bridgett was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Assault- On February 20, 2022, Dep. Welch responded to the 28800 block of Pt. Lookout Road, for the open 911 line. Upon arrival Dep. Welch heard an active disturbance and located the victim. The victim advised James Roy Chase, age 34 of Leonardtown, threw an ashtray, striking the victim in the chest. Visible injury was observed and Chase was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Disorderly Conduct- On February 20, 2022, Dep. Hunsinger responded to the 46000 block of Flower Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported property destruction. Investigation determined George NMN Sewell, age 53 of Lexington Park, fell into a trashcan which struck and damaged the victim's vehicle. Sewell refused to provide his name to Dep. Hunsinger and became disorderly, causing a scene in the neighborhood. Sewell was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Intoxicated Endangerment, and Intoxicated Public Disturbance.
