On View Arrests:
Assault- On December 24, 2021, Dep. Morgan responded to the 21800 block of Joe Hazel Road in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Rachel Nicole Cooksey, age 29 of Leonardtown, assaulted the victim by throwing a cup at the victim, striking the victim in the face, causing visible injury. Cooksey was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Intoxicated Public Disturbance- On December 24, 2021, Dep. Welch responded to the 22700 block of Lawrence Avenue in Leonardtown, for the reported check the welfare. A female wearing a bathing suit, later identified as Tina Marie Clayton, age 39 of Leonardtown, was located dancing on the side of the road. Clayton continually attempted to walk away from deputies into traffic and investigation determined Clayton had entered several yards in the area and knocked over flowerpots. Clayton was arrested and charged with Intoxicated/Public Disturbance. (No Photograph Available)
Drug Arrest- On December 24, 2021, Dep. Kirscht observed William Alexander Sledge, age 64 of Lexington Park, walking in the 21600 block of North Essex Drive in Lexington Park. Sledge had an active warrant for his arrest and when taken into custody a suspected CDS smoking device containing suspected cocaine residue and suspected naloxone and buprenorphine strips were located on his person. Sledge was arrested and charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession-Paraphernalia.
Assault/Resist Arrest- On December 24, 2021, Dep. Marsch responded to the 47100 block of Sorrel Drive in Lexington Park, regarding issuing a warning for expired registration plates. While on scene, Gregory Joseph Bolden Jr., age 20 of Lexington Park, exited the residence and began to assault the victim in driveway. Deputies separated the parties involved, however Bolden attempted to assault the victim again. Bolden was arrested at which time he actively resisted and pulled away from deputies on scene. Bolden was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.
Obstructing and Hindering/Disorderly Conduct- On December 25, 2021, Dep. Graves responded to the 21400 block of Exquisite Court in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival KeAndre Allen Gantt, age 19 of Lexington Park, was observed trying to assault an individual and was removed from the immediate area by witnesses on the scene. Gantt returned while deputies were on the scene conducting the investigation and interrupted the investigation by yelling and becoming disorderly. Gantt was arrested and charged with obstructing and hindering and disorderly conduct.
Property Destruction/Escape- On December 26, 2021, Dep. Tasciotti responded to the 45100 block of First Colony Way in California, for the reported theft and trespassing. A witness advised a male, later identified as Guy Vivian Butler, age 56 of no fixed address, was observed cutting plastic cases off of cellphones and then hiding the phones throughout the store. Butler was located inside the store and provided deputies with a false name. Butler was positively identified and it was determined he had an active warrant for his arrest for the charge of escape for violating the conditions of his pretrial release from the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center. Butler had also been previously served a notice not to trespass at the business. Butler was arrested and kicked a patrol vehicle, denting the vehicle. Butler was charged with Escape, Property Destruction, and Theft.
Assault- On December 27, 2021, Dep. Deinert responded to the 21900 block of Rosewood Terrace in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Carl Joseph Resnick, age 50 of Lexington Park, grabbed the victim by wrist, causing visible injury to the victim. Resnick was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
Handgun Arrest- On December 27, 2021, Dep. Reynolds responded to the 46800 block of Hilton Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported disturbance. Contact was made with the victim who advised Michael Kevin Smith Jr., age 25 of Lexington Park, left the residence with a backpack that contained a handgun. A backpack was located in the area and a search of the backpack determined it belonged to Smith. Inside the backpack was loaded handgun. Smith was arrested and charged with Handgun on Person and Loaded Handgun on Person,
