On January 26, 2019, deputies
from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Walmart store
located on Miramar Way in California, Maryland for the reported assault. Investigation determined the 19-year-old victim
was inside the men’s restroom, when he observed a cellphone being held over the
bathroom stall, pointed in his direction.
The victim confronted the suspect, later identified as Aloysius Marcus
Albritton, age 39 of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Albritton fled the restroom; the victim pursued Albritton and attempted
to detain him for law enforcement.
Albritton assaulted the victim, and fled the store on foot, but was
quickly apprehended by responding deputies.
Albritton provided deputies with false names and information in attempt
to conceal his identity. Ultimately, Albritton was identified and arrested;
Albritton was charged with the following crimes:
Private Place- Prurient Intent
Peeping Tom
Fraud-Personal Identity-Avoid Prosecution
Assault Second Degree
Albritton
is currently incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation
Center on a no bond status.
