Identity Needed for Theft Suspect

 

Dec. 20, 2022: The suspect has been identified. 

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured in a theft investigation. On Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at 1:55 pm, the suspect loaded a shopping cart with merchandise at the Ollie's Bargain Outlet in Lexington Park and left the store without paying. The suspect was last seen leaving in a black Chevy Malibu.

Reckless Endangerment in Lexington Park Under Investigation

 

On October 9, 2022, at 12:11 p.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 46000 block of Midway Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported shots fired. Upon arrival deputies located shell casings and a vehicle that had sustained damage from projectiles. No injuries have been reported from the incident.

Wanted Individual- Jermaine Dorsey

 

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the whereabouts of Jermaine Cornelius Dorsey, age 40 of Waldorf. Dorsey violated the conditions of his home detention and is wanted for Escape Second Degree. Dorsey was originally charged with Driving/Attempting to Drive a Motor Vehicle Without a License. Dorsey is a black male, 5’6” and weighs 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Lexington Park Man Arrested on CDS Charges

 

On October 6, 2022, after a month-long investigation the Vice/Narcotics Division, with assistance from the Emergency Services Team (EST), the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), and the Patrol Division, executed search and seizure warrants related to the distribution of CDS (cocaine and crack cocaine) by Colin Dion Cutchember, age 44 of Lexington Park.

Search and seizure warrants were executed at a residence in the 21000 block of Weeping Willow Lane in Lexington Park and property located in the 26000 block of Loveville Road in Mechanicsville. Located and seized was over two ounces of suspected crack cocaine packaged for distribution, cocaine, suspected fentanyl, an ounce of marijuana, and $660. Two vehicles used by Cutchember to distribute drugs were also seized and are pending forfeiture proceedings. 

Cutchember was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown and served a Circuit Court indictment for CDS-distribution of narcotics. He was also charged with CDS possession with the intent to distribute and other drug related charges. Cutchember remains incarcerated at the detention center on a no-bond status.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at 2:45 pm, the suspect picked up a wallet that was left at the register by a previous customer and exited the California Walmart store with the wallet and its contents.

Assault/Child Abuse- On September 28, 2022, Dep. Myers responded to the 42000 block of Moll Dyer Road in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Quentin Xavier Chase Jr., age 34 of Leonardtown, assaulted the victim by throwing several eggs at the victim, striking the victim as well as striking a juvenile victim with the eggs. Chase also struck the victim's vehicle with a wooden statue, damaging the vehicle. Chase was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Child Abuse 2nd Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property.

Assault- On September 28, 2022, Dep. Chase-Johnson responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Antonio George Queen, age 28 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by pushing the victim in the chest. Queen was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.

Assault/Indecent Exposure- On September 29, 2022, Dep. Stewart responded to the 23900 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Laitesha Jonelle Jones, age 30 of California, assaulted the victims by pushing one victim and punching a second victim. Jones was arrested and transported to the detention center where she proceeded to urinate on the floor, and exposed herself to correctional staff. Jones was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property and Indecent Exposure.

Assault- On September 29, 2022, Cpl. Smith responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Tyquan Samuel Wills, age 23 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by punching the victim repeatedly. Wills was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.

Violate Protective Order- On September 30, 2022, Dep. Truss responded to the 46400 block of Chapman Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported protective order violation. Investigation determined Duron Matthew Chase, age 35 of Lexington Park, violated a court order by contacting the victim. Chase was arrested and charged with Violate Protective Order.

Burglary/Trespassing- On September 30, 2022, Richard NMN Smith Jr., age 29 of Waldorf, was located living in an unoccupied residence. Smith initially provided deputies with a false name. Smith had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Driving Without a License. Smith was arrested and charged with Burglary 4th Degree, Trespassing-Posted Property, Fraud to Avoid Apprehension, and served the outstanding warrant.

Assault/Disorderly Conduct- On October 1, 2022, Dep. McLean responded to the 24400 block of Hollywood Road in Hollywood, for the reported disturbance in the roadway. Upon arrival Dep. McLean observed a vehicle on the shoulder of the road with an open door. Dep. McLean located the victim and Christina Lynn Rivas, age 49 of Hollywood involved in an active disturbance. Investigation determined Rivas pushed the victim while the parties were arguing. Rivas was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct.

Assault- On October 1, 2022, Dep. Campbell responded to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Jamaze Javon Wood, age 23 of Lusby, punched the victim in the face, injuring the victim. Wood was charged with Assault 2nd Degree.

Violate Protective Order- On October 2, 2022, Dep. Truss responded to the 22000 block of Valley Estates Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported protective order violation. Investigation determined Davion Lamar Warren, age 21 of Lexington Park, violated a court order by texting and threatening the victim. Warren was arrested and charged with Violate Protective Order.

Identity Needed for Counterfeit Currency Suspect

 

Dec. 5 update: The suspect has been identified. 

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is seeking the identity of the man pictured in a counterfeit currency investigation. On Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022 at 3:14 am, the suspect attempted to purchase gas, cigarettes and other merchandise at the 7-Eleven store in Charlotte Hall with a suspected counterfeit $100 bill.

Identity Needed for Theft Suspect

 

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is seeking the identity of the person pictured in a theft investigation. On Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at 4:12 pm, the suspect filled a tote with various items and left the Dollar General store on Three Notch Road in Lexington Park without paying. The suspect was observed leaving in a black Mercedes SUV with an unknown temporary registration, turning onto Hermanville Road.

Mechanicsville Man Arrested for Possession of Altered Shotgun

 

On October 1, 2022, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 27300 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville, for a welfare check of an individual sleeping inside a vehicle at an area business. Deputies arrived on scene and located the vehicle occupied by Alexander Wayne Pope, age 28 of Mechanicsville, parked at the fuel pumps. Pope was observed to have a firearm in his lap and was subsequently taken into custody. Located in the vehicle was an altered shotgun, suspected cocaine, and several suspected CDS smoking devices.

Pope was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown and charged with multiple firearm offenses and drug charges.
