National Night Out Brings Communities Together

Sheriff Timothy K. Cameron and the men and women of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office would like to express their profound gratitude to those who volunteered their time and participated in National Night Out on August 1, 2017.

St. Mary’s County had 19 participating communities whose message was clear: awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity is vital. Most importantly is the police-community relationships and citizen involvement that builds strong and safe communities.

To all of the individuals, businesses, community organizations, church groups, and district fire departments, thank you for your show of support. You were a pivotal part of making National Night Out a success. The spirit of neighborhood and partnerships was quite evident throughout the evening and could be seen and heard in the happy faces and laughter from both adults and children in attendance.

As an additional thank you, we had the Sheriff’s Office Command Staff autograph a set amount of toy baseballs and footballs. These baseballs and footballs were signed by all four of our Commanders from each division in the sheriff’s office. Additionally, several balls were signed by the Sheriff and the Major. If you received one of these balls, you are in for a treat! A basket comprised of items from Mission BBQ, Target, SMECO, and the sheriff’s office awaits you! Please contact Cpl. Angela Delozier at (301) 475-4200 ext. *8094 or email angela.delozier@stmarysmd.com to pick up your basket!
