Arrests 1/8/2016

12-17-15 – Assault – Deputy H. Smith responded to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, for the report of an assault.  The victim alleged the suspect, Richard Larry Bassford, age 42, of Leonardtown, pushed the victim’s head against a wall earlier in the day. Further investigation revealed Bassford had an active warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Bassford was charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and served Two Bench Warrants – Failure to Stop (at) Scene of Accident. CASE# 73317-15

12-17-15 – Assault – Deputy S. Lefave responded to the 44000 block of Dry Creek Lane in Valley Lee, for the report of an assault. The suspect fled the scene in a motor vehicle and was stopped by another officer, Deputy J. Krum. During the traffic stop, Deputy Krum discovered the suspect had active warrants for his arrest. While responding to the initial scene, Deputy Lefave made contact with the victim who alleged the suspect, Ryan Christopher Conyers, age 34, of Valley Lee, struck the victim with his forehead. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Conyers was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Second Degree Assault. Two Bench Warrants for Child Support were served.  Also, Conyers was issued citations for Driving While Suspended, Driving Without a License, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, and Unauthorized Use of a Registration Plate.  CASE# 73294-15

12-18-2015 – Assault – Deputy B. Fennessey responded to the 40000 block of Waterview Drive in Mechanicsville, for the report of a domestic assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Thomas Christopher Pietropaoli, age 30,  of Mechanicsville, struck the victim several times on the back of the head and neck. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Pietropaoli was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Second Degree Assault. 12-23-2015 – Assault – Deputy T. Teague responded to the 44000 block of Clarkes Landing Road, for the report of a domestic assault. The suspect, Joshua Brian Bailey, age 22, of Hollywood, was immediately placed under arrest after Deputy Teague discovered an active warrant for his arrest. The victim alleged the suspect strangled the victim during an argument. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Bailey was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Second Degree Assault and served warrants for Failing to Appear and Driving an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 12-24-2015 – Possession – While patrolling the area of Point Lookout Road and Moll Dyer Road in Lexington Park,  Deputy First Class R. Steinbach observed a motor vehicle crossing the center line. A traffic stop was conducted, and the suspect was identified as Alene Marsha Bolding, age 66, of Lexington Park. A strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed paraphernalia consistent with suspected oxycodone use. Bolding was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with CDS Possession – Not Marijuana and Three Counts of CDS Possession Paraphernalia. CASE# 74765-15

12-23-2015 – Assault – Deputy K. Flelage responded to the 40000 block of Leeland Road in Mechanicsville, for the report of an assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Ashley Rose Dean, age 27, of Mechanicsville, cut the victim on the hand with a knife. Dean was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with First and Second Degree Assault. CASE# 74667-15

12-22-2015 – Disorderly Conduct – Deputy R. Roszell responded to the 15000 block of Point Lookout Road for the report of a disturbance. The suspect, Jeffrey Robert Lehnen, Jr. age 32, of St. Inigoes was allegedly observed by witnesses pushing several victims to the ground during an argument. Lehnen was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Three Counts of Second Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct. CASE# 74591-15

12-21-2015 – Deputy J. Bittner responded to Hollywood Plaza in Hollywood, for the report of a suspicious person attempting to walk into a business. Deputy Bittner made contact with the suspect, Daniel Boone Spangle, age 49, of No Fixed Address, who was advised to leave the area. An hour later, Deputy Bittner responded to a call at the Hollywood Burchmart for a disorderly customer. Spangle was advised by Deputy Bittner, that if he continued to cause a disturbance he would be arrested for disorderly conduct. Spangle was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct. CASE# 74323-15

12-24-2015 – Reckless Endangerment – Deputy J. Smith responded to the 23000 block of Town Creek Drive in Lexington Park, for the report of a domestic assault where neighbors reported hearing a gunshot. The victim alleged the suspect, Ryan Michael Dale, age 33, of Lexington Park, fired rounds through a wall in the house after a physical altercation with the victim. The victim sustained injuries from an earlier physical altercation with Dale. Dale was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. CASE# 74904-15
