On August 3, 2019, at approximately 1:52
a.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Bay District
Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall located at 46900 South Shangri la Drive
in Lexington Park, for the reported large disturbance with shots fired. Units arrived on scene and located a female
victim, age 37, suffering from a gunshot wound. Another female victim, age 26, was
located on scene, also suffering from a gunshot wound. Both victims received emergency care on scene
and were transported by ambulance to area trauma centers for treatment. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations
Division responded to the scene and continued the investigation.
Later in the morning of August 3, 2019,
at approximately 2:49 a.m. deputies responded to the International House of
Pancakes (IHOP) located at 21991 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, for the
reported disturbance. Upon arrival, a large crowd began dispersing and units
located a male victim, age 27, who had been stabbed. The stabbing victim was
subsequently flown to an area trauma center for treatment. A short time later,
a male victim, age 33, was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital by an acquaintance
for treatment of a gunshot wound. The
shooting victim was assessed and then transported via helicopter to an area trauma
center for treatment. Later, personnel
from Calvert Memorial Hospital Center located in Prince Frederick, contacted the
Sheriff’s Office to report a 33 -year-old male had responded to the hospital
for treatment of a gunshot wound he advised occurred at the IHOP. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations
Division responded to Calvert Hospital and continued the investigation.
All the victims have been treated and
released from area trauma centers except for the victim that was transported to
MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital; he remains at an area trauma center in stable
condition. Anyone with information on the
